Brookfield Capital is a global investment firm specializing in real assets, including real estate, infrastructure, renewable power, and private equity. Healthscope, its Australian healthcare asset, is the second-largest private hospital company in Australia, with 38 hospitals throughout the country.
Brookfield Capital sought to enhance the performance, scalability, and strategic positioning of its healthcare asset, Healthscope, Australia’s second-largest private hospital network. Facing industry-wide challenges such as increasing healthcare demand, operational inefficiencies, and the need for digital transformation, Brookfield required a comprehensive strategy to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Decker Health provided high-impact transformation and growth advisory services to Brookfield Capital Partners and Healthscope, leveraging deep expertise in healthcare operations, financial modeling, and strategic planning. Over a six-month engagement based in Melbourne, Australia, Dr. Decker collaborated with McKinsey & Co. and Anther Health Services to lead a large-scale transformation initiative. This included optimizing hospital operations, improving patient flow and clinical efficiency, integrating digital health solutions, and aligning strategic objectives with long-term investment goals.
Through this collaboration, Decker Health played a key role in strengthening Healthscope’s market position and enhancing the overall value of Brookfield’s healthcare investment portfolio.

Mully Children’s Family (MCF)

MCF is a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by Dr. Charles Mutua Mulli in Kenya, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating vulnerable children. Currently supporting over 6200 children, MCF provides essentials such as food, shelter, education, and medical care, and engages in community outreach, environmental conservation, and disaster relief.
As part of its mission to expand access to quality healthcare in underserved areas, Mully Children’s Family (MCF) is developing a tertiary care hospital in rural Kenya. This initiative aims to address critical gaps in healthcare services by providing advanced medical care to vulnerable populations, including the children and communities MCF serves.
Decker Health provides pro bono strategic advisory services to MCF, supporting the hospital’s development with a focus on clinical service line phasing, prioritization, and long-term sustainability. This includes guiding the sequencing of medical specialties, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring that infrastructure, staffing, and operational planning align with the hospital’s mission and the healthcare needs of the region. LCG also offers specialized educational and training programs in healthcare finance, operations and valuation and appraisals.
With the launch of LCG Global, Logan Consulting Group sought to enhance its ability to provide specialized healthcare transaction advisory services across international markets. Successfully navigating complex cross-border healthcare partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A transactions requires deep expertise in clinical operations, financial modeling, regulatory considerations, and market entry strategy. LCG needed a strategic partner with a global healthcare perspective to strengthen its capabilities in these areas.
